If you like Pop Rock with great songs and close knit harmony vocals, your summer just won't be complete without this.

Third album from Dutch Pop Rockers Destine is their first to be released via the "fan funding" Indiegogo platform. It follows the decision by the band to break away from Sony who didn't have the same vision or direction for their music that the band wanted. Clearly the decision has been totally vindicated as 'Forevermore' is far and away the bands best release to date.
'Forevermore' sees the band handling production themselves in lead singer/song-writer Robin Van Loenen's newly built home studio. Irrespective of this, the sound is far more rounded and in line with a major label effort; the band retained the services of James Paul Wisner to mix the album rather than produce it this time around.

The long break between albums and the decision to break away from a major label has elevated Van Loenen's song-writing to another level and shows that the man has true talent. One thing is clear, he's become influenced by Train and The Goo Goo Doll's most recent albums in penning the ten tracks of pure Pop Rock class contained within this album. This is still the Destine of 'Illuminate' and 'Lightspeed' but the slightly predictable Punk Pop edge has been dropped in favour of dynamic songs and sing-along chorus lines.

Album opener, the title track, has upbeat tune-smithery of the highest order and brilliant first single 'Down And Out' has the potential to be absolutely huge. Van Loenen's songs are bright, cheery and provide the perfect backdrop to hot summer days and warm summer nights. 'More', 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' and the sublime 'Demons' – probably the heaviest song that the band has recorded – deserve to be blasted out at summer barbecues throughout the land.

The harmony backing vocals throughout this album are notable, something that they manage to replicate live to much the same effect, with soaring melody lines given extra depth on the Funk arrangements of 'Anywhere You Wanna Go', 'Heart To Life' and the chiming Pop of 'Stuck In The Middle'. If there's one criticism of 'Forevermore' then it would be that it's a bit short but apart from that there's not one below par song on offer and it's a case of quality over quantity.

So, if you like bright and breezy sugar-coated Pop Rock with great songs and close knit harmony vocals, your summer just won't be complete without this – the finest album of its kind this year.
