Alice Cooper Reissues Campaign

On 29 March 2010, Eagle Rock’s new rock label Armoury Records is delighted to reissue at mid-price four albums from Alice Cooper’s catalogue.  With the set issued at this price for the first time, these reissues offer a great way to pick up key albums from this truly larger than life rock phenomenon.

Alice Cooper “Brutal Planet”

Cat No: ARMCD523

Originally released in 2000, “Brutal Planet” was Alice Cooper’s twenty-first studio album and came after a six year gap from the release of “The Last Temptation”. Striking out in a distinctively industrial metal direction the songs are thematically linked to the increasing breakdown of society and explore themes such as greed, domestic violence and school shootings. The album re-established Alice Cooper as a modern, relevant artist but still appealed to his longstanding fanbase.

Line-Up: Alice Cooper – vocals; Ryan Roxie, China, Phil X – guitars; Eric Singer – drums; Bob Marlette – rhythm guitar, bass, keyboards

Producer: Bob Marlette

Alice Cooper “Dragontown”

Cat No: ARMCD524

Originally released in 2001, “Dragontown” is a direct follow up to the previous year’s “Brutal Planet”. Alice Cooper described Dragontown as the worst place on Brutal Planet and several of the characters featured in songs on the earlier album make a second appearance here. The music is again very much in a heavy industrial style that proved Alice Cooper could adjust to the changing styles of rock music but still retain his distinctive identity.

Line-Up: Alice Cooper – vocals; Ryan Roxie, Tim Pierce – guitars; Kenny Aronoff – drums; Greg Smith – bass; Bob Marlette – rhythm guitar, bass, keyboards

Producer: Bob Marlette

Alice Cooper “The Eyes Of Alice Cooper”

Cat No: ARMCD525

Originally released in 2003, “The Eyes Of Alice Cooper” saw him return to the classic hard rock sound of his earlier years in place of the industrial style of the two previous albums. There was also no overarching concept to this album with the emphasis instead on a collection of outstanding songs, co-written with his band members, delivered in a real “back to basics” style with masses of energy.

Line-Up: Alice Cooper – vocals; Ryan Roxie, Eric Dover – guitars; Eric Singer – drums; Chuck Garric – bass ; Teddy Zigzag – keyboards; Wayne Kramer – guest guitar on “Detroit City”

Producer: Mudrock

Alice Cooper “Dirty Diamonds”

Cat No: ARMCD526

Originally released in 2005, “Dirty Diamonds” was the 24th studio album to be released by Alice Cooper. Stylistically it was very much in keeping with “The Eyes Of Alice Cooper” and concentrated on songs co-written with his band members and delivered in his well honed hard rock style with stripped back production. The final track “Stand” featured a rap from special guest artist Xzibit.

Line-Up: Alice Cooper – vocals; Ryan Roxie, Damon Johnson – guitars; Tommy Clufetos – drums; Chuck Garric – bass ; Xzibit – guest rap on “Stand”

Producers: Rick Boston & Steve Lindsey
