Samantha Fish has evolved into a versatile and exciting performer.

Samantha Fish returns with another release that further expands her musical diversity.

The first track and single 'Bulletproof' stomps out its grass roots rhythm (which could so easily have come from Seasick Steve's cigar box guitar) and pulls together some meaty slide work; when you also add in a vocal that kicks hard, it all combines to create a really groovy song that really gets under your skin. The following 'Kill Or Be Kind' is an altogether more polished and refined animal where Fish's soulful vocals blend with brass sections and the sweetness of a Hammond Organ. This Blues Mistress also adds some tasty guitar lead breaks which beef up the track.

Sticking to a very bluesy vein, the simplistic 'Love Letters' is filled with swelling choral parts which punctuate this slow-paced Blues rocker and it also has Fish wringing some killer sounds from her guitar. 'Try Not To Fall In Love With You' finds Fish exploring more of a Country feel with its softer approach and her vocal on this cut oozes emotion as do her tasteful riffs.

Ten years on from when Fish first hit the world stage in earnest, she's come a very long way. From her original roots as a drummer, she has not only become an extremely accomplished Blues guitarist, but also a strong and flexible vocalist to boot.

The ballad 'Fair Weather' takes Fish right back to her Blues roots where her vocal approach swings from husky to sweet and back again. 'Love Your Lies' picks up the pace and it has the feel of classic Blondie with a Pop Rock influence and bags of attitude. Elsewhere, 'Dream Girl' is true to its title as this song has a truly hypnotic edge to it that George Harrison would be proud of! Fish returns with more brass-filled Blues in the shape of the swinging 'She Don't Live Around Here' which meanders along its smooth and carefully crafted path.

Fish set out to make an album that had no constraints and thus would allow her to explore erstwhile uncharted musical territory. Her producer Scott Billington, who she's worked with before, gave her the creative freedom to make these tracks have a life of their own. Samantha Fish has evolved into a versatile and exciting performer who can keep things fresh, and she's sure to attract new fans to the fold with this release which could very well be her best yet!
